Gloucester Wrestling Clothing Order Form

Gear up! Support our wrestlers and show some team spirit! Prices are reasonable enough that you can get the entire family outfitted! Don’t forget Grandma and Grandpa, little brother, and even baby sister (like this awesome supportive kid sister here and here)!

We need these forms back ASAP, though, so print one out now and get it to the coaches before this Saturday’s match.

You can download and print the form in color here, or in black and white here.

SUPER BOWL RAFFLE

The executive board of Beat the Streets, an organization that has always provided tremendous support for the Gloucester City Youth Wrestling program, is raffling off two tickets to the Super Bowl!

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Pennsylvania Regional Training Center (PRTC), whose “mission is to create an ecosystem for elite student-athletes to strive toward national and international success in wrestling and in life, while supporting the development of wrestling around the world.”

We’re looking to give back as much support to them as they’ve given to us. If you’re interested, or if you know somebody who would be, click the link below and buy a ticket or two. Tell your family, friends, and coworkers about this raffle, too!

One more thing – this is important – be sure to type “Gloucester Wrestling” in the Organization box and “GloucesterWrestling.com” in the box that asks where you heard about the raffle.

TODAY’S LESSON

Rough start today, but it’s the growing pains that we go through each year. If we keep working hard every day, some of these matches we lose by a couple points will turn into wins, and the one sided losses will turn into competitive matches.

We have a good thing going. Our HS team won the conference last year, we have over 40 kids wrestling with us on the Middle School team, and we have a great coaching staff from HS down to the tots. Don’t get discouraged if you had a rough day today. We will get better.

For middle school, practice tomorrow through Weds. Match on Thursday. Off Friday through Monday, and Tuesday is Colls Christmas tournament. GO LIONS!!!

We will be hosting a HS Varsity Tourney on Saturday Dec 23rd and HS JV Tourney on Tuesday Dec 26th. We’ll need help with the snack stand and working the door. Any help is appreciated. If you’re willing to help for an hour or two, please let us know.

Also we’d like to have as many of our wrestlers there as possible to support the HS kids on Dec 23rd. It’ll be good for the boys to watch HS wrestling and learn more about the sport. On Dec 26th, we’ll be taking a group of our kids to the Collingswood MS tournament. It’s an early tournament, so if you can’t make it, please let us know now.

MATCH THIS SUNDAY 12/17 AT SHAWNEE HIGH SCHOOL

Sunday’s match is at Shawnee HS

8 & under is 8:15 check-in; 9 am start
9 & older is 11:15 check-in; 12 pm start

Varsity Duals team weigh-ins are 10 am (wrestling Wash Twp at 11 am and Shawnee at 12 pm). We’re still waiting on the opposing teams rosters to see how many kids will be wrestling Varsity on Sunday.

For a lot of kids, it’s their first time on the mat this season or ever, so we’d rather try and get them more competitive matches in the JV portion then throw them right into the Varsity duals if we dont have to. Bare with us, we’re working out wrestle offs for each weight, and figuring out who fits best in which session.

REGISTRATION FORM ONLINE IS STILL MALFUNCTIONING, BUT PAYMENT BUTTONS WORK FINE

Many parents have reported errors with the registration form when trying to register online. We’ve confirmed that the form isn’t working properly. We’ve also confirmed that the error is not ours, but rather somewhere up the line involving AWS and DocHub.

DocHub support has assured us that they are working diligently to correct this problem, and they expect that it won’t be more than a few days longer. We’re keeping our fingers crossed!

In the meantime, you can still print the forms (you just can’t fill out and sign them online). Also, the payment buttons are working just fine and are not connected to the error that’s affecting the form. So, even if you have to fill out a paper registration form, you can still use the buttons on the Registration page to make your payment.

We appreciate your patience while we continue to try working through this technical glitch, and we will post an update as soon as everything is back up and running smoothly!

PRESEASON PARENTS MEETING: MONDAY 11/20 @ 7PM AT TAVERN ON THE EDGE

We’re hosting a meeting for the parents of all wrestlers on Monday, November 20th at Tavern on the Edge (upstairs).

We’ll discuss a number of important things regarding the upcoming season including medical and safety issues, practice schedules, required paperwork, and several other essential topics. We recommend that all parents and guardians attend the meeting.
