All practices for today, Thursday Feb 18th, are cancelled.
Start time for middle school practices (Mon, Tues, Thurs) has been moved up to 4:30PM.
All other practice times remain the same.
Parents, please remember that you cannot drop off or pick up your child from the side street. This is very important. If you want to walk your child up to the building, you must park your vehicle in the parking lot and walk to the entry door.
Also, remember that parents and siblings are not permitted to remain in the building during any of the practices. Once you have brought your child to the room, you must exit the building. You cannot return until practice has concluded.

For health and safety reasons, we must break into multiple groups. Practices on the calendar will be labeled accordingly. We will inform you which group you are in later this week.

You can fill out and submit all necessary forms, and pay registration fees, right here on our website.
Visit our Registration page and follow the steps to submit the forms and pay the registration fee. The process is easy, and you can do everything from your computer, laptop, tablet, or phone.

We will have Youth and MS wrestling this year. Anyone interested in coaching, please let us know. We’re hoping to go K-8th. All 5th-8th grade parents, please let us know if your child is interested in wrestling. Spread the word.
Season Feb 1st through April 26th (around there) as long as the Governor allows it. Look out for our post next week when Registration Opens.

This coming Sunday 2/9/20 will be a match at Paulsboro High School. This match is for our wrestlers ages 4 through 12 (as of Dec 31st, 2019).
Check-in time for all age groups is 8:30AM. Please arrive on time.
If you are unable to attend, please let the coaches know as soon as possible.
There will be no Intermediates (ages 13-14) participating in this match.
Both of tonight’s youth practices are cancelled.

Tomorrow, Wednesday February 5th, is our annual GCYW Youth Night!
Our youth wrestlers will be brought out on the mat and recognized prior to the start of the high school team’s varsity match.
Youth wrestlers should arrive at the high school by 5:45PM dressed in their Gloucester Wrestling warmup shirts & shorts (singlets are not necessary).
Our middle school duals team has a match on Tuesday, February 4th at 4:00PM.
Our Lions will be wrestling against the Paulsboro Red Raiders.
The match will be held in the Gloucester City Middle School auxiliary gym. Doors will open around 3:45PM for parents and spectators.
Reminder: All spectators must remain seated and orderly while in attendance at this event. This includes younger siblings and children, who must remain with their parents at all times. Nobody is permitted on the school stage for any reason. Running, pushing, shoving, fighting, vandalism, destruction of property, or any other inappropriate behavior will result in removal from the property.
Sunday, February 2nd is the league’s annual SJWL Varsity tournament. It will be held at Moorestown High School.

8:00AM ➔ Weigh-ins conclude
9:00AM ➔ Wrestling begins
Our varsity wrestlers competing in this weekend’s tournament have already been notified, so there shouldn’t be any confusion as to who’s wrestling and who’s not.
They should also already know the weight class in which they’ll be competing. But, if anybody still isn’t sure, or if there are other questions, contact a coach right away.
Just a quick reminder that we are having team and individual pictures taken tomorrow, Thursday the 30th at 6:00PM in the middle school auxiliary gym.

Our middle school duals team has a quad on Sunday, January 26th at 8:30AM.
Our Lions will be wrestling against the Pennsville Eagles, the Carusi Mustangs, and the Woodstown Wolverines.
This match will be held in the new gym at the high school.
Doors open at 8:30AM.
