I’m so proud of the Gloucester wrestling program after tonight. The grit and toughness showed by our kids to outlast a great team like WD just shows how tough we are!! Our HS team followed our match up with a great one of their own. We didn’t get the sweep, but for GHS to come down to the last match against the #1 team in Group 2, and to see the Gloucester kids outwork WD in those 3 period matches was great to see. Big things are coming in the future for the program. Keep sending them to club practices, car pool if you need to, and stick together!!! If we stick together, there are state championships in the near future, i promise!!!
Free Admission for Parents/Guardians and Wrestlers at School Event
Parents the school charges $5 for adults $3 for kids. I was able to get parent/guardian and wrestlers free. Anyone extra has to pay.

Important Details for This Week’s Youth Wrestling Matches
Couple details for this week. Weds night is Youth night for the HS Match at Home against West Deptford so we’re invited to go to the HS after our match. This Sunday at GHS for Youth program matches is only for K-6 duals team and those 12&under as of Dec 31st (if you turned 13 since Jan then you’re good to wrestle).

Impressive victory against Haddonfield; practice tomorrow until 4:30.
Great job today. Haddonfield is perennially a top 10 program in our area, and we handled them at the MS and HS level today. A lot of close matches where the Lions proved to be tougher and never stopped wrestling coming out on top with the win. The best part is we did not wrestle our best and still had a lot of good wins. Back to work tomorrow!!

Wednesday January 24th, is our annual GCYW Youth Night!
Our youth wrestlers will be brought out on the mat and recognized prior to the start of the high school team’s varsity match.
Youth wrestlers should arrive at the high school by 5:45PM dressed in their Gloucester Wrestling warmup shirts & shorts (singlets are not necessary).
