ALL PRACTICES CANCELLED THURS 2/8

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, but just in case you haven’t – school is closed tomorrow, Thursday 2/8. The administration decided to close the school “due to the highly anticipated absentee rate because of the Super Bowl parade.” Therefore, all athletic events and practices are cancelled tomorrow.

We’re also giving the kids off on Friday. So, enjoy the time off! If you’re headed to Philly for the parade, have fun and be safe.

One more thing, the middle school jamboree that was originally scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled as well. The tot tournament this Saturday is still a go! So, we’ll see all the little tykes this weekend. Everyone else, see you on Monday!

 

GREAT JOB THIS PAST WEEKEND!

We wanted to take a moment to congratulate all of our wrestlers who participated in this weekend’s tournament and Middle School dual matches at Eastern.

There were many impressive bouts, and it’s obvious that we’re improving every week. We still have a lot to work on, though. But, great wrestlers aren’t just born that way – they’re made through consistent practice, training, and dedication. So, let’s keep up the good work!

 

THIS WEEKEND’S MATCH HAS BEEN MOVED FROM SAT 1/27 TO SUN 1/28

Originally, this weekend’s match was scheduled for Saturday the 27th at Moorestown High School. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances made Moorestown unable to host the match.

We have since rescheduled this weekend’s match for Sunday the 28th at Eastern Regional High School. However, we’re still waiting to hear back for final confirmation of start times.

Coaches will let the parents and wrestlers know as soon as we have that information. Keep checking back here and on the calendar for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we’re looking forward to a great weekend!

YOUTH NIGHT & MS MATCH THIS FRIDAY 1/26 AT GHS

Middle School match against Westside this coming Friday 1/26 at 5pm at Gloucester City High School.  Match will take place before the Gloucester City – Gloucester Catholic match.

This is also our Youth Night, so all wrestlers should attend dressed in their Gloucester Wrestling warmup shirts & shorts (singlets aren’t necessary for those not wrestling). The youth wrestlers will be brought out onto the mat and recognized prior to the start of the high school match.
